locked Him in His golden cage.

He is the god of nothing –
if that’s all that you can see.
You are the god of everything –
He’s inside you and me.

from your social graces
and the sins you used to waive.
The bloody Church of England –
in chains of history –
requests your earthly presence at
the vicarage for tea.
And the graven image you-know-who –
with His plastic crucifix –
he’s got him fixed –
confuses me as to who and where and why –
as to how he gets his kicks.
Confessing to the endless sin –
the endless whining sounds.
You’ll be praying till next Thursday to
all the gods that you can count.

Hmm, nu ştiam că îi interesează şi lumea spirituală, îmi pare să aflu. Greu, extrem de greu cu noi, oamenii. Nu nu vrem să ne armonizăm noi cu El, ci să se armonizeze El cu noi. Şi greu ne dezbărăm de felul ăsta de a fi. Poate dacă e tot aşa şi cu iubirea. Încercăm să ne simţim iubiţi şi uităm să mai iubim. Chiar de El şi pe El.

Aqualung a fost unul din albumele mele preferate in studentie. Iti dai seama ca mesajul unei piese ca aceasta se plia perfect peste mintea unui student rebel, pletos, metalist, romantic si … confuz.
Nu cade bine celor despre care scriu si eu din cand in cand, care cred ca il au pe Dumnezeu la degetul lor cel mic … Sunt convins ca n-a fost prea comoda nici pentru anglicani.
